La 78ª edizione dei Primetime Emmy Awards è ormai alle spalle. La cerimonia si è svolta lunedì sera al Peacock Theater di Los Angeles, in California, con la conduzione di Mariska Hargitay, celebre star di Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Nel corso della serata, l’evento ha celebrato le migliori produzioni televisive americane dell’ultimo anno, premiando serie, attori, attrici, sceneggiatori e registi che si sono distinti nelle principali categorie.
Tra i grandi protagonisti della serata figurano Widow’s Bay e The Pitt, che hanno conquistato rispettivamente il premio per la Miglior Serie Comica e quello per la Miglior Serie Drammatica.
In particolare, Widow’s Bay è stata la produzione più premiata della serata, conquistando sei riconoscimenti nelle categorie principali e 14 premi complessivi. Inoltre, Matthew Rhys ha stabilito un nuovo record, diventando il primo attore a vincere due volte nella stessa edizione degli Emmy grazie ai suoi ruoli in Widow’s Bay e The Beast in Me. Jean Smart, invece, ha conquistato il premio come Miglior Attrice Protagonista in una Serie Comica per Hacks, mentre Rhea Seehorn è stata premiata come Miglior Attrice Protagonista in una Serie Drammatica per Pluribus.
